An initial design for the Texas Council of Family Violence (TCFV) State Plan mapping project, which demonstrates how different key data might be displayed and compared with other data. This interactive web application helps to visualize correlations between information such as population density, domestic violence rates, access to services, and funding –which is integral in distinguishing which areas’ needs are being met or regions that are underserved. Users can toggle visual layers on and off to see how various socioeconomic factors might also intersect with need.

From the Texas Council on Family Violence website…”The Texas Council of Family Violence (TCFV) State Plan serves as a fundamental tool for determining, visualizing, and assessing underserved geographic areas or populations in the state of Texas. The Plan also serves as the family violence funding map for the Health and Human Service Commission Family Violence Program (HHSC FVP) and Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) funds and contains a detailed inventory of the services available via a network of family violence programs across the state.”
